RGH Slim GPU Crash?

Hey guys, just done a trinity rgh with a coolrunner rev c. When I boot the console it sometimes works fine but it sometimes crashes, the crash is wierd... Its like when a console gets RROD and the screen goes all pixelated and distorted. Do you think a re-paste would fix this or could something else be causing this.
Also the console gets a little hotter than I would like (gets to 60c+ within minutes) so I will be re-pasting anyway.

It also has very eratic boot times, sometimes boots instantly to 30 sec and sometimes dosent boot.

NOTE

I am not posting pics as my soldering is fine and the console glitches and boots up ok, its just after it gets to dash that is sometimes fails.

I was hoping for it to be more software related or wire placment related. Do you think a reball is the only solution?
The IHS is the metal plate on top the xgcpu. Once off you will see something similar to the phat gpu. Re paste top and bottom. Also as Scott said wire placement is a guessing game as we can not see them.

How would we know if it was wire placement as you stated you will not post pictures
I will take some pics tomorrow. Its the placement I do on every console... How do I take the IHS off? Ive always just took the big heat sink off and re-pasted that.

Very carefully with a thin single edge razor. The are pics etc on Google.
Yea ive just took one off a dead (very dead) slim... Im gonna need a thin ass tool to do that right. 1 question. Wheres the CPU? lol.
Right then, ive ordered some more artic silver and I shall do that. If that fails then I will post a full help thread with pics.

Thanks guys.

Also I see there is some black adhesive, what would I use to put it back on?

It is called the XGCPU because it is all one chip . I find if your careful the paste is enough to hold the ihs but there is an adhesive sold for it just do a quick search ihs adhesive/ glue. Arctic Silver arctic alumina 5g adhesive thermal set. I am sure there are others.

Ok guys, Update: When I first did the console it would not boot with the top case on, I removed the metal bit and it seemed to have worked. After it stopped working then I posted this thread. Im getting thermal paste tomorrow so I am repasting it regardless but as of now, ive took the case off and it is working fine (insta - 15) I have taken some photos (At bottom). Does anyone know what could be causing it not to boot with the case on and sometimes crash (like a RROD crash).

Thanks

Sorry, you can see the pics here. http://www.xeniummodding.com/pics/TX/ (you may have to zoom in so they are not stretched... )
