I got this sliim from a friend, his Nand-x stopped while writing the GliGli build FreeBOOT, it just dinged (when you pressed the power button) I tried to write/read the nand with 4 different nand-xs but none of them would work, I checked all of my solder joints with an ohmeter and they were all good. So I removed both QSBs on the top and bottom, and it seems 2 points from other the board could have fallen out previously, but idk if that would have anything to do with writing or reading the nand, I have pics of the removed QSB on the bottom where it looks as if the points are gone, if that's the problem does anyone know how I can fix it? That's what he told me what happened, if that's not true can anyone specify what could have happened and such? Thanks,
Here's the pics: (sorry about the bad pics it's the best I could do.

Right after I took off the top QSB:

New Installation: (As you can see there was a point missing so I had to put that wire there in order to fix it there is still one missing on the bottom and i do not know how to fix that one.

The coolrunner is getting power:

You are referring.to the points where the Post_qsb had been? These.have nothing.to.do.with nand reading/writing, the only points you should.concern yourself.with are the nand ones, which you will find in the pics section of Jrunner amongst other places. 99% of the time its a soldering.issue, butter now powering on suggests.something else as well - did it have the power.issue before you removed.the qsb?

All this of.course is useless with good.closeup pics of all your.work above and.below.

^^ agree we need full clear close ups of all solder joints top and bottom this could have been the reason for the "bing" but no power on but more is needed pal

just a thought, I have seen this a few times and its been caused by a bridge on the STDY_CLK point.
+1 check the point near the top qsb you prolly bridged something when removing the qsb i also got the dreaded "ding" but no power once cleaned up near the h ana point started working again

get the pics up that are requested first but also if it quit writing early in the nand then its prob corrupted, in which case you need to pull power from the xbox click write and as soon as you do plug in the power

I will post more pics a little bit later, the ding happened before I took off the qsbs and after, the post qsb chip was partly burned and a really bad job was done, I will resolder a new qsb on the top and bottom then repost the pics, or should I not put the post qsb on the bottom? Because one of the points look like its not there anymore, could that have caused anything and I will try doing that David

i had that happen to one of the slims i did. what fixed it was running a flat head screw drive across the nand chip on both sides then i could read/write the nand

Definitely a STDBY_CLK issue. Try resoldering the trace repair and have the cable running from the Coolrunner soldered to another point on the trace. Having it soldered directly to the wire used to repair the broken trace may be causing you issues.

I have had 3-4 no power (ding) consoles and it is either a corrupt/empty nand or a broken trace/removed caps around the STDBY_CLK point.
