LITEON DG-16D4S - SLIM Slim Lite-On 0401 SlimKey extraction failed!

Hey guys, I'm trying to dump my dummy.bin from my 0401 and I keep getting the extraction failed. Here's my log:

Sending Vendor Intro to port 0xFE20
Status 0x51
Re-sending Vendor Intro:
...................
Device Intro failed!
SlimKey extraction failed!

My SATA chipset is an Intel 82801EB Ultra ATA Storage Controller - 24D1

In the list of known SATA chipsets, it has mine which is Intel 82801EB: http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52354&highlight=SATA+list

So besides buying an x360USB, what can I do?

Steps (credit to ichigoxxx)
1. Connect theDVD to a SATA port on the PC X360USB does not work
3. Open JungleFlasher v0.1.85Beta (257)
4. MTK Tab Flash32
5. Press Enter / Device ID, you get a message stating that you disconnect the DVD for 1 second, press YES
6. Power Off the DVD
7. Place PROBE III (can be a homemade) at the point that even MPX01
8. Turn on the DVD (should recognize the way "vendor"), but if it doesnt gives you "vendor" power cycle again the DVD. Do not forget to have PROBE III on MPX01.
9. You can take the Probe 3 out of the MPX01 point

like he said it's a slim...


actually try it , has been posted about elsewhere..there is a mpx01 on the slim board , just near mpx02

This does not help me at all. My first question is, where's MPX01... Found it... Next question is, what trace must I cut. And can I get another person on this forum to confirm this will work before I do something bad to my drive.

WTH the probe 3 is not desighned for the slim


Blu3 smurf: There is not many chipsets that work with the slim drives.Also the the ones that do will either read but wont write or the alternititive.You should really look into buying a usbpro for the slim drives,even if you just do yours because you will be updateing it in the future.

ahh forget that. it didn't work there either, you need a full dump, not just the key !!!

Thought so. Stupidest thing I've heard in a while is use a probe used for phat drives on a slim with completely new HW...

I have heard but have not yet tested myself with incompatible slim chipsets. You do the sputnik hack( probe from ground) to allow it to go into vendor and the get your dump. Again I have only heard rumors regarding this and don't know if its working Im going to research and get back heard to work with windbond when the sata wont work

yeah I have a winbonof couse so I already ordered the TX replacement PCB.

I had two successful dumps with a winbond an via combo doing this method.

Turn computer completely off and make sure drive is powered off
boot
start jf
hit intro
power on drive accordingly
hit read if you get into vendor

this resets the sata bus and allows windows to not interfere with any sata connection it will only do it once per boot so best wishes

Buy X360USB Pro, as all those chipset only work for all fat xboxs 360, only some of them work for slims. ordered mine today.

Tried it. Got status 0xD1 when CK3 off, 0x51 when turned back on.

Hmm I honestly cant think of a solution other than what you specifically asked for options other than. Its a good investment but I understand. do you have other ports available. That was a dumb question Im sure you have exhausted nearly every option

The reason I don't wanna buy the USB yet is because I wanna know if I can do it without it yet.
