Hi, maybe somebody can look at this dummy what is wrong with this.
Dummy is from Liteon FW 0225, labeled as 0401.

I tried allredy ixtreme LT+ 1.91, 1.91u, 1.92, 1.92u - no one work - allways "play dvd" error.

I do not have the orig.bin, only the dummy.bin.

it looks like factory downgraded 0401 Liteon.
bad, that i did not read out the orig.bin
MFD is 30.06.2011.

If somebody have such a drive 0225 (Label 0401), please read out orig.bin and upload this.

I would guess that drive actually is a 0401, I can't see M$ 'Downgrading' the OFW prior to release :eek2:

My gut feeling is that someone spoofed it as a 0225 before 0401 CFW was available :confused:

Did you buy this console new?

If not how did you purchase it?

Was it a refurbished console?

I know the 0225 & 0401 came out of the factory locked but can you tell me what dash version is on the console?

i have tried lt+ 0225, 0225u, 0401 - no luck

no, inside was a 0225 FW. and label say 0401.
drive was not spoofed, as it is a Winbond - and mtk chip was original (no hole).
I dont know if it is a new or a refurbished console from Microsoft. Dash is 13599.

I've just put your dummy.bin in JF and attempted to auto load....It's looking for 0225 LT+1.92u

Have you got the original pcb, is it a MXIC or winbond?

its a Winbond. Key is ok, as i read it several times before flash.

but some specific data is missing in the dummy.bin, i think. so i need a orig.bin from an equal drive.

it seems there are more different 0225u drives, so maybe need in future 0225-u1, -u2, -u3...

You're able to reflash all u want?

Edit: Link giving above is for 0225U not 0401U - 0401u does not exist.

Had the same issue, always verify fail on 0401 (not a 0225). Drive would work first time in xbox 360 but not the second. Tried many things.

For some reason putting it in the xbox 360 and trying repeatedly (even with Play dvd) and power cycling the xbox 360, Then connecting it back to the PC, got write verified ok ;)

Tried it on the PC itself also before hand and was still getting write fail. Maybe it was a fluke who knows. Thing is keep trying. ;)
