LITEON 9504 slim LT+3.0 update help please!!

My drive has LT+2.0 on it and I am trying to update to 3.0...But when I unlock the drive it will not let me write the new firmware on it. It says unknown flash type write aborted. Can someone please help me update my slim lite on to LT+3.0. I am following the jf tut. here is my jf:

when it is locked it seems to want to write 3.0 on it but when its unlocked i get that error

I assume you are using a switch to unlock it? if you are switch it to unlock and unlock the drive then switch it to locked and write the lt+ 3.0 firmware then once it writes the firmware lock it with the 0x00 button and outro the drive and it should show key verified and you should be done

I have a stock pcb that has 2.0 on it.....but it has the newest dash which locked it...can I just update it to 3.0 or do I need a new unlocked pcb from tx?

you never said how you are unlocking the drive (switch/probe/magic?). if your not going to answer questions that are asked your never going to get good help. once again i will suggest you to get someone that knows what they are doing to do it for you

I apologize but I don't know the methods. I only have a ck3 probe 3. Which method is the switch method. Is there a method that I can do without purchasing something( like the sputnik360)? I am trying to do it my self. I dont know if I have all the tools to do it.

Please do what playingmax said post a pic of both sides of the pcb that will help us alot in helping you

and I would also suggest you go to the Jungle Flasher Tutorial on unlocking a slim 0272 with MXIC chipset, read it, that will tell you what you need to know

it appears that someone cut the trace then solder it back so. so you would have to unsolder the cut trace probe it with a 10ohm resistor that is grounded then solder the trace back together (all in the Jungle Flasher Tutorial). or fit a tx sputnik switch on the pcb

It's a 0272 which was a 9504, it could of been a unlocked 9504 drive, flashed, then locked.

OP - You need to tit a Sputnik Switch (with probe built in).
