ok so i installed coolrunner followed the guides slim didnt glitch so i removed everything now nothing works, theres power to the mb it makes the sound when you turn it on but no fans or nothing no red dot on the powers supply either im a bit stummped, any ideas ive done two slims last week btw which work fine.

Have you checked your stby_clk, most common reason for no boot after an attempted RGH. Post some pics of the stby_clk point.

right just been using the meter there is no continuity going through the resistor on the stby chlk how the hell did that happen have i blown it somehow? the traces are fine and not lifted neiter are the pads

replace the resistor.33 ohms.
0605 smd or 0805 smd.
suppose to test it.you could bridge it to see if it powers up.
if it dose then you no for sure it's the prob.
i would only do that to test it tho.
as if you leave it there it would most likely damage the xbox.
resistor is there for a reason.
i will have some 0605 smd or 0805 smd 33 ohms once they get here.prob be another 2 weeks tho.i could send ya a couple then if you aint got any.
but if you got any spare mobos you could take one of it.

yeah got a spare mobo that i'll be scavenging one from still confused how this happened, cheers for the offer will post back later with my results.

maybe its every five seconds not thirty, got the blue wire wound round and taped to the bottom of the board

how many times dose the green light on the cr flash.
have you trimed the blue wire.or is it still the same.

ive got a post out qsb do ya think that will help? just dont fancy removing it if it dosent work.
