i put the blue wire in a swigel S shape on the back. it seemed to help my times alot. mine will go anywhere from 2 to 19 seconds. before they where 6-60

ive pulled my blue wire up into the board and sat it under the dvd tray kinda. boots between 5/15 seconds. makes no diffrence where i put mine really. i just find every slim i have done has random boot times. helps to have the power off too i think

God I'm doing a slim tomorrow, I thought they were supposed to be the fastest\reliable out of the whole range.

ya true falcons and jaspers are the best

falcons are even better than jaspers they dont need a capacitor for fast boot

slims are a pain untill we get the hot product from xecuter that is supposed to fast boot this Monkey

seriously i hate slims :D

is there really something in the woodworks by Xecuter for faster boot times? I thought the thing Uber was talking about was the new FSD that has Slim optimizations

the speed of my slim does not bother me. even when it takes the full 20s.
my jtags take 10 seconds to boot sometimes. im used to it.

I have done about 14 slims now and non of the take longer than 15 seconds to boot, most of the time its within 10 seconds.
man, i wish someone would take a look at mine then, id be lucky to get 10 seconds, mine is usually 10-20 glitches which is about 50secs to 1min40secs

Use 50cm of cable, look TX pic, its best solution.
I tried many solution cuting, moving etc. nothing made SLIM to better glitch...

Sorry about bad English

Tbh slims are a royal pain in the ass at the minute. Ive did 3 this week including my own im trying to speed up at the minute and the best i can get them is between 5 and 30 seconds averaging about 10. Thats with a load of arsing about, moving cutting, changing, lengthening wire. I can see how anybody not good at soldering could mess this up bad trying to improve times cos i must have soldered and unsoldered the blue wire on my first one nearly 50 times which would be pad lift city for less skilled solderers. Anyway what i have found from the 3 i have done is that what works for one gives crap results on another and its really just trial and error at the minute with them. Heard ubergeek and then xecuter talk about something they had in the pipeline to help with this issue. Wish they spill the beans already. I like soldering but it gets boring soldering the same point a gazillion times:smile:
