Okay so Ive removed the ribbon cable from the rf board that makes no difference. If i touch the board itself in a certain spot the disc drive will eject or close. Basically what im asking is maybe there is a component on the board that i can remove that will stop this. Its necessary for me because its in a laptop mod project i have, that im now trying to sell however on a rare occasions the Xbox will turn off and eject when you touch the case. Its completely finished but this is the only problem i have that i would like to straighten out. If you guys could be of some help i would really appreciate it.

Here is a pic of the laptop if you guys wanted to see it:

Where specifically? You mean on the far left? Maybe you're shorting the RF board, so insulate it.

Give it to matt2416 - He'll burn those pads off in an instant and they'll no longer be an issue.

I have insulated it, that's what was getting me, so after that didn't work i tried finding a way to remove the touch, i removed a few resistors in line of the ribbon cable connector, that seemed to help as it wasn't so sensitive anymore however it still could be touched and powered on or ejected. I swapped with a new rf board and it seems to be working fine now once fully closed. Thanks for the tips guys

Looks real nice, if you block it off from the case (so its not touching the case at all that might work?)
