update: i removed the coolrunner wires and ran them through my finger until they were nice and smooth with no creases, put it back together, now i have been getting consistent boot times of of 2 to 3 seconds, even when its standing up lol. not sure how it would work out for anyone else but its worth a try.

Im having similar problems. all solder points are good and the unit does boot...but the boot times are all over the place. One boot is 5 sec....next is 10 minutes. I have noticed the green light flashes alot more when unit it apart and the blue wire is not near the board, but even then the boot times are crazy. I have cut the wire to different lenths (40 then 30cm) with not difference. Im kinda lost on what to try now. I have been tweakin on this for nearly a week. Any new ideas I would love to hear.

dannyperez: we would love to see your install. and wire placements as that seems to be the issue.
