my coolrunner is installed, but the green light doesnt go on (glitching) when switched to SLIM, only when it is switched to PHAT (the console is a SLIM), also the boot times are very erratic, seems to be always 90-120 seconds to boot, i tried different lengths for the blue wire, and nothing changed.

re position the blue wire (cpu_rst), make sure tha its not coiled up to tight underneath the board
i have changed the blue wire position and length a bunch of times (tight, loose, position of the wire), and no change in boot timing

would the addition of a capacitor make the boot times any better? I have seen it help some people with BB Jasper but havent heard anything about Slims

What different lengths of the blue wire have you tried? I've had about 4 slims all which had 1min+ boot time, after shortening it to about 30-40cm, its been consistent at 10-20s.

I haven't used the QSBs yet - while they are supposed to help with the glitch - I'm not sure that they will make THAT much of a difference - direct wiring seems to be ok- ave you tried some unsulating tape under the blue wire?

anyone get better boot times by adding caps or anything else? i have tried resoldering the wires and changing blue wire length, repositioning, tape, no tape, tight coil, loose coil, wire all over the place

damn this slim

i think we have success, desoldered the blue wire and sorta coiled it under the x clamp and i have gotten 6 consecutive good boots (less than 30 secs each)... MUCH better than before

damn, that blue wire is finicky

I did a trinity last night - couldn't get it to glitch - had to rebuild ecc with bestpig - used the slim QSB and coiled the pre-cut blue wire a per the diagram - I get boot times now under 5 seconds consisitantly with 1 in 20 being around 25 seconds - no caps used
