RGH Slim will only boot with CR on Phat Mode

The funiest thing was happenning when I RGH'ed a slim yesterday. I installed the CR and got Xell running and obtained the CPU key after 3 matching nand dumps.

I then created the 13604 dash and flashed it. On boot I got nothing but a black screen and noticed the green light on the CR was not flashing anymore. It was fustrating because everything went so smoothly. I tried to shorten the wires and still nothing. I decided to switch to the phat mode (desperate move) and low and behold the green light on the CR starts to flash on the next boot. 15 seconds later I was in the new dash.

Decided to test more (mabye it was a fluke), but everytime within 5 - 30 sec it boots, but only on the phat mode. It boots to Xell in slim mode but not the dash. This is the first out of around 20 installs that have done this.

Strange.

I'm part way through RGH'ing a Slim for my friend and I've found that it will only boot to Xell if I have it on Phat mode.

The green light on the coolrunner will just pulse green about every 2-3 seconds on Slim mode but I got straight into Xell once I set it to Phat.

It's quite annoying because I've been double checking my soldering for the past hour, checking resistance and connectivity between all my solder joints only to find out that I just needed to switch it into Phat mode.
