RGH Slow FTP Speeds

I'm not sure whats happened entirely with my RGH, everything works and I can play and use it just fine and I had no problems transferring with FTP before but just the other day my transfer speeds dropped to something unbearable.

Has anyone ever expierenced this? I've tested with Metro and I do get a connection to the Net and Xbox Live. I've plugged the same cable into my media PC and get a proper speed.

Copying even XeXMenu is taking 20 minutes as my speeds are going no faster then 50 (usually less) KB/s

Im about to reinstall FSD to see if that helps but wondering if anyone has any other good suggestions I could try

Try filezilla, and how are you connected to your router? wireless or wired?

is PASV disabled? If not, you'll have speed issues.

Ive tried Filezilla with the same result and have disabled passive mode in it with no change in the result. Very strange issue

Are you 100% sure it's connected properly?

I've seen this issue where the network cable isn't plugged in fully.

ping your console IP address from your pc and see how fast the data packets are coming back?

i had troubles like this when i first got a jtag and getting used to the whole shabang.

i ended up re-formating hdd1 and re-installing fsd and then it was ok.

maybe fsd is corrupted somehow or your pc is glitching maybe a fresh system is needed.

Well thats the strange thing is I keep getting a request time out yet I can connect just fine with FTP...just the transfer speeds are poor.

Router is set to DHCP so everything is in scope too. Tried a different cable as well and no difference. Trying to track down my wireless adapter to see what happens with that.

could it be possible your router is sh*tting the bed (on the lan side)?

Reinstalled FSD and all appears to be back to normal, still get no response when I ping however.

PING is a service. The console needs to accept packets for ping, however your router may also be blocking them.
