LITEON DG-16D2S Slow loading games

Hi, my friend had open tray error on his console, I had a new drive (never used) bought new from a console i jtagged.
He didn't want custom firmware so I swapped the pcb from his old drive to the new shiny drive.
When I load a game (orig remember) it says play game but takes 10 seconds or so to show the game title?

Asked on fw and was told that the laser would need a pot tweak? As the old pcb was set up for the old laser?

Could someone like Martin c or Blakey confirm this for me or are some lite on dg 16d2s just slower than others to load games?

Slow loading would normally point to a duff laser, have you tried cleaning it. A pot tweak could improve it but a laser replacement is the best way to go.

if I were u i wouldn't bother pot tweaking ,waste of time especially for first time person
go ahead and invest in new laser

It's a new drive (old stock but new)I bought a brand new 2008 jasper 2 years ago took the drive out packaged it in a sealed bag and jagged the console, so unless it's a dud factory one?

FIFA loads in around 12 seconds
Kinetic adventures around 20

So the old pcb would have nothing to do with the new drives capability?

Games install to hd no problem at all, is lt fw slower loading than ofw as just tested the games on my own console and the same load times? But I'm running lt
