Smartxx say they have a v1.7

not yet but everyone over on xb-scene are hammering smart-xx calling them liars and d**kheads. my guess is that it is true but i cant see why they would want to hide it from everyone
i mean, it is central to the whole scene and this could ruin their reputation as a chip manufacturing company if they **** this up..

Why would they lie? If it turns out to be a lie, their credibility (lol) would go down. What do you say Team X, have any info for us lamers?
If SmartXX has Version 1.7 in there hands then I have a Xbox360 that I've already modded and I will get you picture later wink wink.

Why don't you all trust SmartXX team? Let me guess: because they aren't Team Xecuter. Believe me, I like TX work, but I respect the other chip manufacturers as well. If you want to get technical, all the products do the exact same thing: they allow you to boot a non-stock bios. Nothing more, nothing less. It's just that other chip makers have different bells and whistles. I happen to like Xecuter's bells and whistles more then anothers. I don't really see why we need to get all nasty toward the other companies...

I feel that it would be very foolish for the Smartxx team to release this king of news without some sort or fact behind it, fo course there stil is that little problem of "crypt-stealth" technonolgy they are supposed to have on their chips.
I'll bet it's a 1.6b and they're calling it a 1.7, I bet MS doesn't want to waste the time to make a whole board re-make at this late stage in the game
if theres really a 1.7 xbox out there we will now soon enough dont we?
If i was a chipmanufacturer then i also wouldnt give to much info to the outside. simply because it gives me a headstart of the rest. business is business and if i now something that the others dont know then thats an oppertunity to adapt my chips so ill be the first with a 1.7 compatible chip.

something i don't get is
1.why release a new version of an xbox when your going to stop making them in a few months
