Im thinking of finishing this one game Im playing then maybe wiping my SD to scratch and recreating my 7.0.1 emunand. Backing that up 100% fresh, which I never did.
I was curious if it was fully safe to update to firmware 8, as Im under the impression it is from reading. Then making an 8 emu to run updated. I never keep more than one game at a time anyway really, Im mostly using it as of late for retroarch

I have been running 8.0.1 since SX supported it without issues. To be honest if you use emunand and update that, then you can always just go back if you find things that are not working correctly.

I have emunand on 8.0.1 updated through ChoiNX and my sysnand is clean and currently on 7.0.0. Is it safe to take the sysnand online and update normally through Nintendo?

thats how I was going to do it. I was going to back up this 7 nand, then upgrade the switch from nintendo and then recreate a whole new nand from 8 fresh. I just havent had time to do it lately.

If you are starting fresh, then SX OS 2.7.1 beta would work for the latest OFW (8.0.1). My question is just more if I've already created an emunand is the sysnand completely safe to go online to update through Nintendo as normal.

I'm afraid to go online at all lol. I'm not even sure if my game backups are still there..

Hello, I have just buyed a 4.0.1 Switch, but I can't open exfat micorsd. Is it safe to update my Switch to last firmware (8.0.1) or I should preserve the 4.0.1 firmware? I will use SX OS pro (not yet arrived). Last SX OS can read directly exfat microsd without updating? Thanks
