Well if you really want the LAN and HDD activity LEDs you will have to solder which makes it pointless to get the solderless adapter.

Except for the fact that the LAN and HD solder points are about the largest you find on the Xbox.

yes you stil have to do a rebuild but i hear they might come out with a completely solderless adapter for 1.6. thought that will probably be a pain to get alogned properly and KEEP aligned.gijoedude said:

also could anyone confirm if a WD Blue 250GB WD2500BEVT would work with the 250gb flash thing? Will this work inside the 360 hard drive? cus all drives I seen are never named "Blue" Thanks

Get the latest version of hddhackr and read the release notes with it, it goes into more detail and explains perfectly it's usage.
You will need a legitimate, valid hddss.bin from a 250GB 360 HDD for this to work, do u have one of those?
WD2500BEVT definitely works, as do alot of other WD drives.marklndp said:

legitimate one? nope I dont think so, how do i get one? I downloaded the 250gb.bin hdd hack from Xbins. Will that do?
and its called hddss_250.bin, So i need rename it to Hddss.bin? all tutorials seem to use hddss.bin? Thanks.. Don't say that... I am already worried about doing this encase I get banned, I really don't wanna get banned for upgrading my hard drive and only doing this because people keep telling me you Wont get banned, they wont find out..

After asking afew other people about banned for changing drive i got this message from someone I know and its about changing the inside drive to a 250 one
"Also its works perfectly on xbox live and swapping out your hdd wont get you banned. the only thing that will get you banned is if you engage in game piracy or otherwise cheat--so just don't do that"
Anyone think this statement is true?
