I'm pulling my hair out and gotten very little sleep lately trying to figure this out. Done two 1.3 mod chip installs just fine and now learning to do the softmod. I picked up a brand new xbox the day after Christmas to try the 2.6 CE & failed during the install. Xbox is still running fine with any games with the chip off, so I'm taking this route:

I'm trying to do a softmod on a 1.6b (latest kernel & bios) using no chip or gamehacks/memcard. I've downloaded the ldot's xboxhd Linux tool and UDE2 & made sure it will support my K&B. I'm stuck with the drive not being detected with "dev/hda no found on CD" on the WD 8gig that came with it.

Question if anyone has done this already through hotswapping...

1. Thinking the locked hdd is the problem, why am I able to access it with xbrowser?

2. I did a fresh install for with the new maxtor 120gig through xboxhd, if I lock it - how can I unlock it if I can't seem to locate the eeprom on the xbox hdd.

3. I've only found tut's for the ude v1.4, info is limited on exactly where & how the directories are structured. Does it matter how the folders are placed if the UDE complete package now has a v1.6 & 1.7 in seperate folders?

Call yourself a doc if you can help, thanks!

Xbox 1 backups on 360 with LT 1.0 (Samsung) possible?

Is it possible to play Xbox 1 backups on Xbox 360 with LT 1.0 Samsung firmware?

The LT 1.1 fixed an issue with Xbox 1 backups issue but only LT1.0 exists for Samsung drives. Anyone know if there is a way around this other than flashing to an older firmware?

I suspect that LT 1.1 probably won't be released for Samsung drives so I was wondering if anyone else had managed to get Xbox 1 backups working?

Well, C4EVA did not release a new version of firmware for the samsungs because they do not have ap2.5. Though, I've read that playing Xbox 1 backups is not safe. I personally, I have not tried playing xbox 1 backups on Samsung drives, though they should work if you burned them correctly.
