Ok, so I'm new here and have some questions about the softmod.

1. Is the softmod just as good as doing the mod chip
2. What risks are involved besides losing my warranty
3. How can I tell which drive my 360 has without opening it
4. How hard is the hard mod vs soft mod

Please don't flame me, I didnt have time to read all the tutorials, but i did glance at Cpt Americas and seems like something i could do pretty easily, but I just want to know all the facts first.

A. Yes, the same.

A. If your stupid you might break something, only unscrew the screws it tells you too.
3. How can I tell which drive my 360 has without opening it

A. If by hard mod you mean the chip then it is alot harder than just connecting cables and flashing a drive.

so i'm probably going to go with the softmod. Do i need to open my 360 at all for the softmod?
