so i decided, what the hell, i'll sell ym 1.6 xecuter 3 modded xbox on ebay... , the usual "customized" instead of "modded", so ebay dont have kittens at me.. with "email for more info", after a few hours, i check my mail, 10 emails asking me various things like "does it have any games", "what mod" etc, i email them all back witht he same generic email basically outlining everything, click send...

LESS THEN ONE MINUTE LATER, it sells, the guy emails me quoting this
"modified professionally with an xecuter 3 modchip" I LOVE YOU MAN
so yeah.. it's sold :O... £200... and i've already ordered it's replacement, for £70, and the new type xecuter 3 for £37.. a tidy £93 for switching xbox's, lol

you could sell them like that all day, people love to buy them without any of the work that goes into it. and the suprising thing is, is how much more they will pay for them. in other words. GOOD JOB

they would be pissed to find out that he almost doubled his money. I know I'd feel like a sucker. I just wouldn't admit it to anyone else. haha

People who buy these boxes know how much they cost new. They can find out how much the chip and HD costs... Fact of the matter is, they got exactly what they happily paid for.

Cost of new X Box £100, Cost of X3 £40, Cost of 60GB HD £40.. total £180. Sale price £200 and no hassle about carrying out an install... Seems reasonable to me even if it isn't brand new..

well the extra money the guy paid was for setup... look at it that way.

I have modded 10+ boxes for people and they get charged for hardware and software set-up. I mean, it is a service... i know how to do it, they dont. plain and simple. and to a lot of people it is WELL worth the cash to have it all ready and working for them when they get it.

I agree there's lots of people that would just like it plain and simple. Thats your time that they're wasting by having you build an XBOX so they can happily go play likes it no thing... I could be doing all sorts of other projects, but who doesn't like the extra money besides from their regular 9-5 jobs...

i dont think you are ripping anyone off at all... i mean, they know what they are getting... they know they can buy a pre-mod from a website for a lesser price, but it doesnt come with any of the software setup. its a service you are providing and that is that. nuff said.
