Solder vs Solderless

I have no modchip experience, so I am asking you for yours;

Why did you choose to solder your chip, or why did you choose to go with solderless?

How is it better to go with solder if you can never remove the chip?
And why risk soldering yourself if you haven't done it before?
Is it even that hard to solder? Is it hard to find somebody to solder for you?
Is the XAPT3R going to be less reliable than actually soldering the chip on?(And yes, I do know about the 2 XAPT3R solder points)

What else am I missing?

Thanks a lot.

soldering isn't that hard...just get a little practice first on some kind of circuit board ... Solderless solutions will NEVER be as reliable as soldering the LPC. You can still remove the chip if you solder...because all you're soldering is either a pinheader into the holes on the xbox motherboard...or wires to those holes instead of pins. The modchip then either sits on the pins, or is connected to the wires (if you do a wire install you put the sticky tape on the back of the modchip so you can stick it to somewhere else.

If you can solder the points that HAVE to be soldered - then you can easily do the soldering required for a pinheader install.
