Soldering Question on Do

I just installed my 2nd X3 and I'm having a soldering problem. When I boot up, I get the re-boot 3 times and then frag. If I hold the power switch, it will boot to the ms dash no problem. I'm assuming this means that my Do point is soldered ok, and my issue is on the lpc header. Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks!!

If you get frag with chip enabled, and a normal boot with chip disabled, then your D0 is not soldered ok.

When I boot chip enabled with one quick press of the power button, I get the 3 boot/frag. When I boot chip not enabled with one long press of the power button, I get the MS standard dash with no problems. This means that my Do is not soldered correctly?

Correct.

Thank you! I was running around in circles thinking it was my soldering on the LPC header. I just assumed that since the switching worked as it was supposed to, that the Do was ok. Now that I think about it, since frag typically means there is nothing to boot from (correct?), that means that it really wasn't switching as it was supposed to. How confusing am I?

No problem. Glad to help. I'm just sorry Vyrus was confirming your misleading conclusion.

Yeah, I guess you could say it was the Do. In fact, I soldered the wire to the wrong point alltogether! I guess that's what I get for trying to watch a KU basketball game while modding an XBOX. I fixed it, and it works great now. Thanks again for the help!
