Xbox v1.0
Problem:
After flashing with BIOS X3_3029.bin you decided to load a new skin. After selecting one, the Xbox freezes on the ROX screen and you cannot pass from that point.
Solution 1:
You will need to have a computer connected to the XBOX through a network rooter.
Power off Xbox and hold Eject + Power to load the backup BIOS that hopefully you will have.
One you have the blue screen with the FlashBIOS options, select the one the you prefer (the easiest is the HTTP).
Flash your BIOS with X3_1959.bin, this one does not support/care about skin and will ignore the skin folder.
Power up XBOX, you should pass the ROX screen now. Once you are on the dashboard go to Settings, the Network and fill up the IP, MASK, GATEWAY information. You can get this information from your PC, enter ipconfig from the command line but do not use the same IP as your computer or any other computer on the network.
Now you should be able to FTP to your XBOX. Using a FTP software (windows FTP did not work for me), connect to xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx (i.e. 192.168.1.4, this is the IP that you enter in the previous step), make sure that the user name is x3 and password x3.
Once you are connected, go to the E: drive a delete (or rename if you are gun-shy like me) the skin folder.
Now you can put 3029 or 3108 BIOS back.
Good luck.
