HITACHI NON-79 some backups work but some don't,pulling my hair out over this one

Hi fellas,got an Hitachi 59 drive that is flashed with LT+2.0,my 360 dashboard is on 2.0.16197.0 I run every single backup through ABGX360 before i burn them with Imageburn.
My problem is,is that most of my backups work perfect but some don't ( Modern warfare 1 and 3 and a few others keep giving me " Disk Unrecognized Error ".
I've tried even swapping over to a spare 59 drive i had laying around ( swapped PCB's out for the original one of course ) and i've tried pot tweaking the laser which i've tried from settings of 5.99 right down to 3.01 on my multimeter.I have double checked in Imageburn settings that the burn is set to " Overburn and NOT Truncated "
but no matter what i try,i just can't get these few backups to run in my 360.BTW they play without any problems in my sons 360 with a Lite-On drive and my other son's 360 who has a BenQ drive in his console.
Can anyone offer any further help or tips pleaseeeeeeeeee before i go completely bald lol,thanks guys

Yes - you're messing with a dead laser.

Replace it.

I've tried that already,the spare 59 drive i've fitted will play some really scratched disks,so surely the laser isn't knackered ?

What media brand are you using? If its anything but verbatims then that's your problem.

lasers are calibrated to their boards - most of the time you can get away with it, but you might need to tweak a new laser 0.5k either way to get the most out of it.

i use Aone Plus Gold Edition disks,i've used these for most of my backups over the past 12 months ( £7 for 25x on Ebay ) they've never given me problem burns,i know the preferred brand of media is Verbs but there expensive and i've encountered bad burns in the past with them.
What is the safest ohm setting i can use without burning out the laser,can i go below 3.00 ohms maybe ?

So you're using sh*tty discs and wonder why you have problems?

Expensive? less than £1 to backup your game is not expensive. Find another hobby if it is.

Op - post XBC and ABGX logs as well as Kprobe2 results.

I've never used Kprobe before,martin but went to download it and give it a try but the page comes up with a 404 error and no download as for the ABGX360 results,everything passes in green just like it should.No red results or anything to worry about once it finished checking the Modern Warfare 1 ISO that's extracted from the original game disk using my Lite-On iHAS124 B ATA burner that's flashed correctly with the Burner Max firmware.I used Imgburn to rip the original disk & i've tried ripping it with XBC

I'd say stick a new laser into it and get some verbs and try it. Lasers work harder with backups so a nice new one should solve many issues.

Or try burning at a lower speed like x2.4

If you've never used KProbe before, how have you been checking the disc quality?

Post your XBC / ABGX / IMGBurn logs ASAP.

I've NEVER used Kprobe to check the quality of my burns as i thought it was really meant for people using Verbs for there backups and ALL my backups are ripped from ORIGINAL game disks,thank you very much you sarcastic haggis eating turd.
You know what.F**k it.Martin,i'll figure this one out for myself,as all you seem to do is take this p**s out of people,most probs because your such a sad act who sits on his backside just waiting for the chance to rip into someone who you feel is of lower standards than you.
