Some Drive Questions

Im working with slim Lite-On's and am wondering the following

1.When a Official M$ Update comes can i just replace my flashed drive (Lite-On replacement PCB 1.1) with my original drive? Im basically asking if they have the same keys, will the xbox/M$ see the different drives?
Is this safe by replaceing my flashed rive with my separate og drive safe? Recommended?
I ask this because i do not have the original firmware for the drive that has the PCB in it.

2.Lets say i do want to put original firmware back on my drive. Im guessing i can write the original firmware found in iextreams firmwares (the ones you get when you download LT+3.0) Is this undetectable firmware and the same that was on the drive before i flashed my LT+3.0 to it. Recommended?

Flash back to stock (using the files in the firmware pack), update and once happy to do so, update to latest iXtreme firmware. I'm sure this process is written about 100 times on these forums now (if you took the time to read).
