Hi guys,
As you can see on the attached image, some games like Into the breach and Skyrim are now asking me to update them, without letting me the choice to play it anyway as other games do.
My switch is 6.2 FW and banned, SXOS 2.5.1 beta (stable vers. doenst help) and I cannot find anyone else having that problem.
The message when I launch them is always the same, with or without the update files found on torrents and DDL sites.

A SOFTWARE UPDATE IS REQUIRED. UPDATE DATA WILL BE DOWNLOADED NOW. (of course I cannot update them as I m banned)

however other games let me the choice to START SOFTWARE anyway

Could you help me?

Lots of thanks.

When you say with or without the update files, are you actually installing the updates or just putting them on your SD card?

I have had this several times too. solution was to update the apps in question. But idk why it happend in the first place.
In one instance it was my own fault though. I uninstalled an NSP update. the game was then at stock. And appearently needed atleast a "day 1 patch" or something to be played?

Also another note, someone said it is because when you have savegame at higher version. trying to run the game at lower version will give problem.
This is all i know

That second part makes complete sense for sure. If you have to reinstall a game and you had a newer version previously you will definitely need to install the updates again as well.

As for the first part, there are many games that have day 1 patches and won't play without them. The Switch firmware also, I believe, has a database of game versions and what they should be. Even offline it will know that a game should be at least at a certain version.
