So first things first :

1) I don't know if this section is correct to post this topic (if not please correct me)

2) I put "general" prefix because there is only for the first version of X360USB ( I want for ver.2)

3) Except my DVD-Drive don't ask me what motherboard I have or Chipset (if you can help me find it, you will help me big time). If this help I bought it the second year of release (of the first 360) and was an edition with 20GB and one controller in the box.

4)MOST IMPORTAND : I am entry level moder, I know the difference between CPU, GPU and other stuff also I've learned how to install CFW from Android to PS3, the only section I miss is 360;) so please don't treat me like a 10year-old ULTRA noob (it's quite anoying and makes me feel bad:( ).

and last :5) Before you say "this question is answered from million to zillion times" I already searced here ,the WEB and people I know, but the information I gathered confused me even more than the end of "Inception". I like small and consistent answers (pretty much everyone does:D)

I like to face the situations and people with humor, so if i say anything that offend you in every level and sector, please tell it ... I don't like to make fun of people which are more experinced than me (after all now I take the topic more seriously).

So let's begin ....

I want to buy a X360USB pro v.2 , I want to know:

1)What software do I need ?

2)I have the latest (I thing...) version of X360 software. Is there a limination to what hardware do I need (your hardware)?

3) This version of X360USB has a MOLEX connector beside the SATA connector. Is this for powering the Drive or I need extra connectors?

4) Before the guarantee expired (I thing is one year for every console) I sent it for maintence because the drive sounded like a wounded animal trying to sing Moonlight Sonata from 5.1 surround speakers. So it's obvious the changed the drive (you don't say ). In conclusion this question is self-answered : Do I need to check the Drive again, because I checked it (without opening the console, believe it or not)?

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST :

5) In the future I want to buy the new xbox360 lite, is the X360USB pro v.2 be compatible this it, or I should wait till another version comes ?:confused:

For further details about my XBOX360 i will uploaded from tomorrow because I am not close to it now

1) You'll need JungleFlasher and the requisite firmware files for your drive type. JungleFlasher is available at jungleflasher.net, firmware links can't be provided here but can be turned up with a google search. You'll also need the drivers for the X360USBv2, which are on the TX downloads page, and probably stickied in the X360USBv2 sub-forum.

2) For flashing, dashboard version doesn't matter quite as much, as it's mostly firmware-related, not hardware. If you have a Lite-On drive (sounds like you already know how to check this, if not, 360drives.com has a picture guide) you'll want to get a Probe v3 to read the current drive firmware/key.

3) That's for powering the drive, yes, you won't need anything else except a way to power the X360USB.

4) Yes, check the drive type again, either eject the tray and look at it, or check the wire color under the faceplate, again, see answer number two for more info.

5) If you're referring to the Xbox 360 S/Slim, then yes, the Pro v2 is compatible, you just may need to buy a Sputnik probe or Kamikaze kit for flashing Slim drives.

So .... I found several tutorials (and one with the exact FW version) but there is a contradiction ... In one it says to touch (with CK3) the right circle of a series of circles that reminds a man's tool (be polite people !!) and the other to put it in a small hole, in the third in row above a black tranzistor .... Which one is the correct ?
