Just for the record I didn't say the PS2 wasn't a good system.
The PS2 has some pretty good games that are a lot of fun to play. They also paved the way for everyone else!
I do think they kinda got caught with their pants down when the xbox and xbox live came out.

I own all 3 also. The xbox is better than all 3. The gamecube is better than the PS2. That's just the way it is.
Granted the GCN has more childish games but were just looking at the hardware specs here.
Next you'll be telling us the PS2 is better than the DreamCast. Which I have also BTW.

lol befor reading this please relize i am a huge dc fanboy, but can u blame me?
i also love my ps2 but i will not deny my dc its credit where it is deserved.
also u owe the homebrew scene to the dc, it was the spark that lit the fire.

play doa 2 on ps2 then play it on dc, dc owns it, sony really f'd up on giving ps2 4 megs of video ram...... as opposed to dreamcast's 8, also ps2 being backwards compatible with psone = jaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagggggggggggggieeeeeeeeeeesssssssss god damn it doa2 on dc is so much smoother, also even the official xbox magazine admitted that even tho soul calibur 2 is way newer than soul calibur 1 on dc even on the xbox it is hardly better in terms of graphics also the dc version is way smoother than the ps2 version in both looks and framrate. dc is a texturing beast.

i used to be a ps2 fanboy...but look at me now. my ps2 doesnt even work anymore and i havent really had any reason to buy another one. xbox is all that i really need. i considered getting a gamecube for resident evil, but i decided that it was stupid to buy a console for one game. the irony in that statement is that i got an xbox for halo, but the difference is that i knew it was easliy moddable and i wouldnt be confined to just games.

I bought my Gamecube for the new Zelda that will be out at the end of the year. They are so cheap I figured, why not? I also love the Dreamcast like no other. Did you guys ever play Seaman? That was a funny game.

I think the cube is better then the PS2, In fact I like the Original PS better then the PS2. But XBOX is number 1 in my book.

I bought my DC on the day it came out... the 9-9-99 date will ALWAYS be a soft spot in my heart. And of course, I played "Seaman"... that game was soooo bizarre, it made it instantly cool (in my book). I almost cried when my Seaman evolved and left the tank... just kidding about the crying part.

I can agree with this statement... and that's part of the reason why I would get so upset when people used to knock the Dreamcast's games. The games on that system were some of the most original ones that you could find... hell, even to this day they're still "original" in my book.

(Same goes for the Gamecube's library.)
