Someone PLEASE help! Samsung M25a not found with x360sam

Ok, I have followed Textbook's tutorial, even watched the video. I have read forums here and in xbox scene. But I am still stuck.

When I go into my bios to select boot from floppy (sorry, my bios does not let me boot from usb, and the NTFS iso is not working either) it shows that my m25 is there.

When I boot from the floppy, x360sam runs, i type in per the tutorial samread xxxxx .......... serial number, and then it says that no drive is detected. It does not take me to the select XTREME sata controller just takes me back to A:\

How can it be found in my bios (via sata) but not when i run the dos program?

PLEASE HELP! WHAT AM I DOING WRONG? I am using onboard sata, installed the sata controllers from the cd.

Oh, also, it does not create the backup firmware, but creates the folders in Backup on the floppy disk.

make sure you connect the sata cable right.amd you also have to disable Raid in bios integreted inprihepals.put it to IDE.remember to turn on the xbox when you type samread and samhack

Ok, the cable is correct, I turned the xbox on then connected the sata cable after i got to the dos prompt (per tutorial). Still no go. Could it be that I need a new motherboard that can handle loading (boot) from usb? If there is one, can someone please tell me which one is able to and I will go purchase it. I had no problems with hitachi flash, but this one is giving me hell.

first off what motherboard do you have?

Second do you have a floppy disk fitted?

i have the ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe, and yes I have a floppy drive. It is now getting all the way through, and is not making the backup copy.

use xtreme 5.2 via mtkflash from a floppy drive

i dont think its you motherboard causing this.have you succesfully made a floppy disk with extreme bootmaker?and be sure that you disabled RAID and enabled the functions inside bios to find your 360 drive.if its not finding your drive maybe you connect the cables wrong.check everything twice before doing anything.

I also tried using the NTFS boot disc and it says that this function cannot be done, this program is trying to access the C drive, which cannot be done

thats weird. :? be sure to use newest version of extreme bootmaker.it seems like your computer maybe isnt the right one to flash with.

FINALLY GOT IT!!!! After 3 days, a sata pci card, new mobo, new sata cables, and $300 dollars (which I could have purchased a new XBOX 360 with), the issue (s) were that I had plugged the m25 drive into the sata port 5, 4, 3, and 6, and I did not change the sata chipset to my the latest upgrade that I had downloaded.

Changed the sata cable to sata port to number 1 (on my mobo) and re-ran xtreme boot maker to include the updated sata drivers and wa-la! 5 minutes later I was playing my back up games! AMAZING!

I hope this will help someone else who may get stuck on the littlest things!

Every Penny!!!! Valuable lesson. But now I have almost enough pieces to build another PC. But to busy trying to figure out how to burn games. Got one to work, NBA2K7 now working on Gears of War. I wish I would have figured this out before my kid completely destroyed my tiger woods (scratched it all up by rubbing on carpet).
