somethin screwy with XLCD

last night I had nothin to do so I put in my LCD, the thing worked fine for about 3 hours then it started to flicker (words) the screen was still on but the words came in and out of visable. and now it wont come on after I reset the setting on the LCD setting portion or even enable or disable it I will pull it apart tonight and check the connections but what other idea might it be...I searched but nothin revealent to what im talkin about.

it is possable that the LCD is defective or make sure that it isnt twisted or bent at all mine was getting twisted when I put it in and it did the same thing make sure of that also there is sometimes a bent pin inside the part that the LCD wire plugs into and also on the LCD it self mine came that way and I strainted it out and everything was fine then

I got it, it was the contrast on the board itself....it was flickering but the wires to the proswitch were rubbing against the contrast due to the fan possible and turned it down....I played KOTOR2 for like 4 hours yesterday and nothin happened compared to 2 days ago where it lasted about 2.
