Hey y'all,
I know I'm going to receive some pretty heavy flak for this, but I just have to share!
The Sony Playstation 3 looks amazing! Both appearance-wise and spec-wise. It's so pretty! I'm digging the slot-load DVD and clean lines. Even if I were not biased strongly against Microsoft, then I would still, at the very least, think it looks nicer.

It may be lagging a tad behind in memory (256 versus 512, unless Sony changes that), but otherwise the specs look better. Yes, I know, one cannot always compare specs against each other on a one versus one basis, but it still looks superior. I guess we'll see in about 7-8 months...
The graphics chip looks simply beastly. It's more powerful then "two GeForce 6800 Ultra video cards," as Gamespot says. It also supports 32:9 widescreen or two HD-televisions, play your game on one side while doing a video chat on the second. It looks like they were looking at Nintendo DS. Good call!
It's compatible with the PSP and supports up to 7 bluetooth controllers per console (actually, that one made me scratch my head... seven? I mean, how many people can you fit on one screen?
I guess it may have something to do with being able to use two televisions for one unit... that would be PIMP). Also got 6 USB ports... if you ever need to plug in 6 USB items? That one also made me scratch my head, but I guess we'll find out the use later on.
Plus, it's actually backwards compatible, unlike the Xbox 360. Obviously, this feature is only so useful, as more and more games come available, the older ones are played less and less. However, it's the principal of the thing!
That it DEFINATELY at the top of my wish list for the next generation systems, unless Nintendo puts out something that completely owns (which is very possible, depending on price and all that. I admire a company that is capable of putting powerful computing into a small package, which looks like Nintendo's right now). Who knows? I might completely change my tune.

PS: I know I will get accused of being a Sony fanboy, but that is not true. More than anything, you could accuse me of being an Anti-Microsoft fanboy. I like anything that does not contribute to their operating system monopoly, which in this case, is Sony and Nintendo. Please do not break off on a tangent on the monopoly issue, but if you want to PM me with your views, I will gladly share my opinion on that and back it up!
