Sorry, I know this is redundant.

I've always used dvd2xbox to back my games up. I've done over 6 xboxes with the majority of them being xecuter 2.6CE w/latest bios and a maxtor 160GB.

My problem today is I was setting up my friends xbox just like mine. I tested out dvd2xbox to see if it works. I used DOOM 3 and FABLE (games I own) to test the application. Both seemed to copy fine, but when I went to play them, they would crash just before the title screen and say, dirty disk error.

I've never had this problem before on any of the xboxs I've done. Can someone help with this?

thanks DJBOOBY always a pleasure

I think I have the latest version 7.2 right? It's the same version I have used on all the systems I've done.

f:\games just like always. The games will play up until the the title screen....Then blam! a dirty disk error. I've tried six games now. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling all of them. Another note, is during the opening credits I can't advance the screen on any game.

Also the video screen on the games is smaller for some reason.

ok....ive tried two other dvd drives.....and another version of dvd2xbox....instead of a dirty disk error it just goes blank on the games before the title screen
and some games just go back to the emulator

I've tried XBcopy, dvd2xbox, px-hdd13 and nothing is giving me a good game backup. The only thing that I can think of that is different from his xbox and mine is I have XBMC on mine as an application. The chips are the same, installs the same, bios same, dashboard (evox) same, hdd same, nes snes sega n64 gba emulators the same, and a private stash of video the same. Except I can backup my game DOOM 3, Fable, GTA3, GUN, etc on his successfully, and not on mine without a dirtydisk error.
I've errased my cache, saved games and anything else related to those games. I even erased my entire e:\\ partition and reinstalled. Is it possible I'm running to many programs? I really don't want to use a slayerautoinstaller disk....partly because I dont have a cd burner. Is it possible to use the autoinstaller through FTP
