I noticed a couple solder points fall off recently. My box has been working great for a long time. Is there a heat problem around? I cranked my fan up to 80% to increse air flow, but are there other solutions? I'm assuming the heat in the box is slowly degrading my solder points and do not like ripping my box apart to fix em. Any long term solutions? Please keep your SOLDER FLAMES to yourself, I DO know how to solder and all points are tight when the box gets put together....is any particular solder better to use??

Something sounds wrong to me. The fan usually spins at 20% - 25% and that's sufficient. I seriously doubt that something over in that area of the motherboard could be getting hot enough to melt solder.

Do you have any idea how much heat is needed to melt a solder point?
If there was that much heat your whole xbox would melt.

besides noone was speeking of heat anyway! :)
