XGD3 Spike at Layerbreak?

Hey,

Yes, I have read other threads regarding the same issue, but I find that those were somewhat different from my problem.

While all I saw up to now was Kprobe values getting worse in a sector around layerbreak (much bigger than mine), I really just
get this:

This has been the same for 3 burns now, I bought my drive (TEAC W524) a couple of weeks ago, and I now found the perfect settings (all disabled except smartburn, OPC off, 4x write speed, patin couffin drivers), I
just cant get rid of that single damn spike that messes everything up.

Could this be my settings or is it more probable that just the discs are a bad patch? I tried a spindle of MKM003.

Thanks for the help guys.

Hey, thanks:

The drive is as mentioned a (TEAC W524), which according to several forum posts is a rebranded Lite-On drive (The imgBurn Liteon advanced settings work perfectly, therefore I assume it to be correct).

I did not save the logfiles, do I have to do all the steps again? The file was correctly verified in abgx, I can perfectly remember that.

Wow, don't call this thread the noob room if this is how sh*tty you react to people not doing this stuff every day. Telling me "there are logfiles saved automatically there and there" would
have achieved the same thing. You need this thing here?

Where do I find abgx logs? I cannot locate them.

And btw.: I don't know about your country, but if my drive was unable to read the game or the disc was scratched, I could also get the files from torrent / filehost / whatever
and that would be perfectly legal, the source doesn't matter as long as I don't distribute and own the game.. would be f*ed up if I needed to back up every single disc that got
into this house BEFORE it breaks, who has the room for that.

*Edit* Oh and if you're asking "why are you backing up this game then since it's not broken", it's a copy for my brother, which is ALSO allowed in my country, in fact
I can give the copy to whichever close relative or friend I like and it's still perfectly legal.

Which country is that? This site is international so we all need to abide by generic copyright laws when discussing backing up on this site.

Your drive is not suitable for ripping 360 games. U need to use an official xbox drive, ie liteon, benq, with either 0800 firmware or a usbpro v2.

Germany and Austria, here's the link:

http://anwalt-im-netz.de/urheberrecht/privatkopie-im-urheberrecht.html

Especially:

Please use Google translate if you're interested in the text.

The drive is as mentioned a (re-branded) LiteOn, it created a .iso that looks perfectly fine to me? You mean I have to take the drive out of my xbox 360 and hook it up to create
a proper backup? I read about that once but my setup would not work with the drive, as far as I remember it was because I installed my OS with AHCI and I could not get it to work
in legacy mode. The drive in my box is a Lite-On as well, therefore I hoped it would work this way. Thanks anyway.

Yup, pirate with over 500 games registered to my steam account, I bet you haven't seen all those in your entire life. Hf in your paranoid world.
