Hi
I am having trobule with Splinter Cell 3 and getting the versus mode to work on my backup copy on my harddrive.
I thought I had fixed this problem when I took the DVD disk I had been trying back to the shop because I thought it had missing files and got a new copy of the disk and ran it fine with the X3 chip turned off. However when I copyed the DVD disk to harddisk I tried running the game with X3 chip enabled and it freezes just after I have selected my Profile. I then tried Running the game from the ORIGINAL SCCT disk with the X3 chip enabled and again found that the game freezes when I select my profile after entering versus mode. I tried again booting the Xbox with the X3 chip Disabled and versus mode works perfectly ?
Im sure I could not have got 2 defective disks so im sure the problem is with either my Xbox or my X3 chip ?

I have a
V1.1 Xbox
X3CE Chip
X3 3029 bios

Please help as I know Its possible to back up this game so it works with versus mode on backup for other people.

Problem solved
Anyone else who is having this problem its because of your live account automaticly trying to sign in to Xbox Live when you load splinter cell 3 and the X3 Bios stopping it from connecting is crashing the program !
I deleted my live account from my modded xbox and now both disk and backup work perfectly with X3 chip turned on.
Hope this helps the rest of you peeps with the same problem

Keeping your XBL account on your modded Xbox's HDD is asking for trouble. I suggest keeping it on a memory card. That way it can act as a "key" for when you want to play on LIVE.
