LITEON 74850 spoof liteon as other liteon and update?

Hello!

As topic says I wish to replace a broken liteon 74850c with another liteon 74850c that I own. My question is though, will I get stuck when attempting to update? (since it isn't the original drive)

short answer is no as it's like for like.

as long as you flash it with the orig drives info.

Yes, I have the OFW dump from the original drive. The drive broke when restoring after MRA hack ;p

The drive I plan to replace with the broken one is currently flashed with some older LT version (which shouldn't matter right?)

I was planning on just flashing the drive to stock using dosflash (with proper key for the machine ofcourse), update, and then flash it to latest CFW with dosflash again. Do you think i will run into any troubles?

Your 7 series liteon can be replaced with any fat liteon drive as there is no longer a 7, 8, or 9 series drive. They are all recognized as 0251 now. But yes your plan should be fine.
