Liteon 74850c spoofed as benq.
OK what a pain in the rear this one has turned out to be, this was stuck in updating dashboard (13604) loop until I worked out it needed a benq drive on there to complete that update ...sorted that out.
Now I cant dump the firmware for love nor money, I have ck3i and homemade probe (used it to dump liteons previously) this one locks up windows for periods of time (other drives are fine).
Anyway I can get it into vendor mode and can get 0x72 status, but it refuses to dump even did the old MRA hack on it today and still the same as it comes up with "unknown flash device" and windows chugs in fits and starts.
The drive ejects, acts normally, attempts to read discs but gives open tray error (laser most likely).
I just want the key off it tbh as it's on a Zephyr and I cant RGH it with xell to get the keys (tried that).
I can find a laser and make sure it reads disks and still has the correct key on it, but it still needs the firmware dumped so I can put a benq back in it.
Any suggestions beyond trying it all over again?
