Hi, I'm going to update the firmware on my mates Xbox 360 phat. It's the model without hdmi. He had an old firmware, maybe 1.1? Before we started we updated to the latest dasboard. Succes! Then we took the 360 apart, i found an DG16D2S, i thought it was good because I found them easy to flash. But when I went into Jungleflasher I found it beeing an Hitachi 47. And then, what should I do? Try to flash too 2.0? Because I can get it into mode B following the tutorials in the JF Guide and the forum here. I Use 360USB Pro, and CK3i!

You have to treat it as a Lite-on and use lite-on firmware. meaning lite-on erase. A lite-on will not go into Mode B. It does not have one like that

If you have updated the dashboard, then spoofing is no longer supported by M$. It has been removed. You'll get an E66 error.

You'll need to transfer the key over direct. Also, it will not be in any way shape or form, live safe

So will I be able to flash it to 3.0 as a liteon? I don't need to get a real hitachi drive? Can you please be more exactly :)

You have to treat it as a lite-on.

That means erase and unlocking the drive, writing the latest lite-on firmware with the afore mentioned key, and outro once it is finished.

You cannot flash a lite-on like an Hitachi. it was just telling the lite-on to look like a hitachi, which is no longer supported.

So you cannot just spoof a key anymore if it is a different drive, you have to manually spoof it using the option in Jungleflasher.

If you want to be live safe, then yes you need an Hitachi

You need to extract the Dummy.bin preferably

Not the key or inquiry.

If the firmware is as old as you say it is. Then use the Dummy from iextreme button and follow the on screen instructions.

The problem is, because it has been spoofed as an Hitachi, JF thinks it is an Hitachi.

The Key.Bin does hold the Key, but that is all. You can manual Spoof with that key.Bin but you won't have none of the other stuff passed over.
