ANSWERED Spoofing a Liteon DG16D2S to Benq VAD6038

I have a BAD liteon and want to spoof it as a benq vad. I've tried many different tuts and no luck. I have the dummy.bin for my BAD liteon and thought I could load that in target source and stock benq fw in source.. and while my benq is connected hit spoof to target.. I'm so :eek2::eek2::eek2::eek2: right now. YES I will pay you if I get this resolved. It's driving me :mad2:

You can't spoof a drive type as a drive type.

However, if you have your DVD key, you can spoof that to the BenQ, flash the BenQ with the appropriate f/w and put that in your console. However, it will not be safe for LIVE.

There should be no payment necessary. First off what dash are you on? Secondly just as a heads up LT 3.0 cannot be spoofed on newer dashes so you best bet there is to just buy a new lite on replacement.

Just purchase a new drive. I had to do the same with another drive, and it's much easier, and doesn't involve spoofing. In my opinion, only logical method. Only costs around $30+postage

Depends where you are.

I personally like www.ck3.co.uk who are a TX approved reseller. Might not be the cheapest, but they certainly aren't expensive either, you're guaranteed to get a new drive rather than a refurb AND they post stuff out pretty damn fast.
