GENERAL spoofing/drive swapping on slim

Ive put a liteon 7x phat drive with lt+1.91 v0.25 in a slim 0272
its booting games and im happy with that.
im not bothered about live or going on the internet at all.
i also relaise that im probably stuck on 2.0.13599.0 dash as i dont have my orig drive.

but what will or wont happen if i keep off xbl? is it possible the console will stop reading any disc's due to fw checks?

sorry for asking but i read spoofing/drive swap didnt work on this latest dash?

If i'm not mistaken, I thought I read if you have spoofed drive AP2.5 games don't work.

Well - if u got it working - the only time your fw will be checked if u stay OFF xbl is if you have a game that requires the dash update in the future and comes with it on the disc...just means u wont be able to play that game I guess ?

can u describe your method here?.. cos i have been trying to spoof a benq for my slim and its not working, though it worked with a friends console on 13955.

i dont have the full dump of my drive, just the key.

I used a liteon 7x drive (maybe ben q wont work)
am on latest dash and
loaded my dummy.bin
spoofed source to target then manually loaded lt+1.91 v025
no spoofing of drives as such, just a simple drive swap.

the old drive will fit in the slim case, just a matter of hacking case and plastic legs off and fitting an original dvd drive cable

hot glue the black 360 drive front to old drive http://s1116.photobucket.com/albums/k576/ribbit12/

all games booting and am on latest dash.

I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT IF I GO ON LIVE OR TRY TO UPDATE IN FUTURE, I WILL PROB BE BANNED OR GAMES MAY STOP PLAYING ALLTOGETHER, SO BEWARE

I got a benq working in place of my 0272 lite on. I had a full dump of the 9504 firmware, spoofed over the key to benq firware then flashed this to it, then manually spoofed it as a 93540 lite on, and reflashed.

Didn't try AP 25/6 tho'

I must be doing something wrong. Used 74850 drive in my 13599 slim, spoof source to target, flashed it with LTPlus-025v1.91.bin, but I always get "Play DVD" message when trying to launch a game.

If you're putting it in a slim - you have flashed it with the wrong firmware!
you have just flashed it with 02510C fw (PHAT Lite-ons) - when it should be 0225 fw I'm guessing for you.....

Somewhere I read you can't use a non-slim drive in slim anymore, since 12xxx update... It gives this "Play DVD" error.

maybe it will only work on a slim that had a 9504 0272 drive osig? all ofw 9504/0272/0225 are available in the usual places

are you using a slim that had a 9504 in it or 0225 as mine was a 9504 updated to 0272?
i loaded the same fw as you 1.91v025 and mine works?
try reflashing.

If you're putting it in a slim - you have flashed it with the wrong firmware!

no he did it right, i flashed the liteon 7 with lt+1.91 v025, i tried to flash it with lt+1.91 0272 but it wouldnt show up in JF, so i used the v025

It had 0225 originally. I'll try reflashing but doubt it will help, as I mod many consoles and no problems. First time I've tried swap in slim, though.

Maybe the problem is the OSIG is changed and can't be spoofed.

Hi Everyone, someone with a Spare drive and able to do that, could try this?

1- Open an old version of JungleFlasher, for example JungleFlasher v0.1.83, go to FirmwareTool32 tab, click on Open Source Firmware and load your dummy.bin of you Slim Drive (0225 or 0272).
2- Load the LT+1.9.bin for your FAT Lite-on or Benq drive in Open Target Firmware (this old version of JF, should detect this FW as a LT+1.1, but itsn't), Click on Spoof Source to Target now you will see that the drive is Spoofed to a Slim Drive, click on Save to File, just save with watherver name...
3- Open the latest JF, got to FirmwareTool32 tab, open the CFW generated (JF wont show up that's spoofed, but I think that the oldest version have canged the OSIG) so now flash this one to your Drive.

Let us know if work on you Slim Console. I Would have do it but i has a Slim with a Hitachi V500 Drive...

I think you havent read the role thread, some guys here has spoofed their phat drive on a Slim, and aparently it work! but other said that didnt work...
