I take care of three systems for family, one being a Benq which luckily I own and two are Lite-On's, all phat systems. I have the OFW for the Lite-On's.
In simple terms the Lite-on's are total Pita's to work with, in fact one is stuck erased and I've tried for hours to get it back. The Benq I just updated to 2.0+ in literally 2 minutes. My question is two-fold...
If I wanted to replace the lite-on drives with Benq's, I would install the Benq drives, open jungleflasher and load Lite-on OFW as source, and Benq 2.0LT as target? Was not sure if I could load straight to 2.0 or if I had to load Benq's OFW for the drives first.
I have come across much conflicting information on the ramifications of spoofing drives today. I have heard that new dash updates will not complete, some games will not play, etc, while others say the drives will be fine. These systems will not be played online, flagging is not a concern. Please give me any insight you have on spoofing in today's environment.
