Hello,

in regards to the following thread: http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=142198

As to avoid hijacking, I was curious about the following:

"It's more of the fact that ap2.5 will prevent spoofed drives from booting xgd3 games offline making the console useless rather than bans etc"

Does this still hold true? The reason I ask is because I currently have a console that has an ms28 spoofed as a hitachi 47dj currently running iextreme 1.51 iirc. though my understanding is that both these drives are exempt from such checks & can still be used without error even though I would not be using it online. please advise. Thank you.

If you want to play new games, you should update your system to >= 13599 version and flash your hitachi to LT 2.0 without spoofing
I think you can play online after that.

That's the thing, the drive originally came with a hitachi 47 that was defective as would only read originals if laid horizontally however I replaced with an ms28 that I later spoofed as a hit 47 as it would not read back ups even though i've burned properly. now all is well however simply trying to update this drive even though i don't use it online nor do I have a need to. I understand I have to update the dash to the latest release which is not a problem as I can obtain directly from microsoft by using a thumbdrive & update manually my dilemma is to get a refresher on How to update said items so that I can proceed.
