we dont have a radio shack in uk i think. none near where I live anyway. I'll have to head down to maplins or something. but first I need my sata card to arrive so I can finally intro my damn xbox, since for me 0272 isnt introing with ICH7 am guessing because it won't intro with 0225.

MGrover - You don't happen to have AHCI activated on your motherboard SATA ports do you? As I found it stopped JF from finding my drive until I deactived AHCI mode.
Also we used to have Tandy in the UK (UK offshoot of radioshack) but haven't seen one of them in years, closest store is Maplin, range isn't far off Radioshack's but Radioshack even in smaller stores have a better range of components (Lived on both sides of the Atlantic).
Looking forward to seeing what Tx comes up with though.
You can't Xdrive a slim can you? Then again the issue would be laying your hands on a genuine 9504 / unlocked 0272......
The next few weeks and months are seemingly going to be interesting

any resistor 10-20ohm works for unlock i have confirmed 10, 11, 18ohm

WIth MXIC not unreliable at all... you can check outerspace (brasil) and everyone that tried with a single 10 Ohms resistor got it first time no problem

Waiting for the solution for winbond :D

Probably a whole new set of instructions (with other components then resistors) and a new JF with an unlock button :)

In case it helps:

Ошибка - порт привода указан не верно = Error - The specified drive port is not valid

Привод разлочен = The drive is unlocked

Привод залочен = The drive is locked

Ошибка - привод не в вендоре = Error - The drive is not in Vendor Mode

no idea if I do. I can find the drive. But it refuses to intro, slim key or slim unlock.

Uninstall via drivers if the pc is freezing I have done 6 mcix works like a charm took me 2 mins to do mcix .no luck with winbond I'm going to get a 10ohm pot tomo and try again

it doesn't have any via drivers. doesn't freezes anymore. Reading Bank 0 just dump failed :(

In the flashing tasks the radio button shift from phat to slim when the drive kicks to vendor mode.
