I will repeat again for those that missed it the first time - this will not work on Winbond. Don't F up your drives attempting it if you don't know what you are doing.

Don't panic we're on it, along with JF bugs being fixed, new AP2.5 being sorted and anything else that's come up since the release of the last stuff.

ok got it. replaced the via with x360usb pro. write like a charm

Thank you for this - was getting to same point with VIA card (drivers removed) - had convinced myself that i had done something wrong

and to answer a previous post - yes there was still a little continuity after the trace cut - very minimal tho @10 Ohms

I used a resistor from maplins in the UK - 10 Ohms @ 0.6v 10 for £1 - just ask, they got em.

I used the arm from the probe 1 ( i got the 2&3) - and the wire from left over bits of the no solder kit (I soldered it) - worth getting the heat shrink, it is only £1.89 at maplins and for the trace repair i used the conductive pen, I hate soldering

Thanks to all for the tips and hints on the way - I got 3 winbond chips waiting now

Lucky me, I had a 9504, had the dump of it, updated the dash to 13599, then did the Russian method and it worked great. Flashed 0272 LT+1.9 with no problems other then jungleflasher 1.85 telling me the original file md5 was bad I went down to 1.83 and it flashed fine no problem.

Im sure they dont donate to Jungleflasher which they are using or the LT+ bin files,so lets say they did there part to donating in a different matter if it makes you happy.

I have made myself a probe using an old probe dvd cable. i have attached an on-off-on switch on the 3.3v wire and soldered a needle to the black gnd wire.

every time i hit device intro in jf i get status 0x51 and nothing else?

I have a suspicsion that my probe isnt right! I wasnt too sure what legs to solder the 3.3v wire to. the switch has six legs and i soldered to one of the legs at the end and to one of the middle legs.

any ideas please? thanks in advance

You have mentioned nothing about which resistor you are using, which drive and whether it's winbond or not.

Sounds to me like, all you have done is make a probe 3. If that is all your making and your probing a phat lite-on then you have posted in the wrong thread.

And if you are on the correct thread, have you looked at the first post. it says which chips work and do not currently work

Sorry for my vague post lol I have a 0272 drive with MXIC and I am using 10ohm resistor.

I managed to get around the 0x51 status got it into vendor mode tried to unlock the drive with Russian program it said that drive was locked i went back to jf and then hit intro (dont really know why) and now i have status 0x80? now i cant do anything

Please help im eating my words here because i said it would be easy, now im making a hash of it
