I have MX25L2005 is that right?

I got a wire and probe from a multimeter and soldered a crocodile clip. I attached the crocodile clip to the yellow wire towards the front of the drive. pressed intro, hit yes, turned off ck3 probed mpx01 and it went into vendor mode no probs with staus 0x72

So i opened the russian program port my port number in the box put the resistor on the pad and hit unlock drive. I had a meesage come up which translated to "drive is locked" i went back into jf and pressed intro, then it gave me status 0x80. I restarted my pc and started jf and now I have status 0x7F. JF does not see the drive at all

Now i cant get anything to work. And really dont know what to try.

It sounds like your trying to do a liteon 74,83,93 series key dump ?

your probe c59 not mpx01 ?

That could just be resistance from the other way around the circuit - just test for continuity, not resistance.

just need some info please how do you identify witch type of winbond chip you have ?

i.e Winbond Mediatek MT1335WE - 1011 or Winbond Mediatek MT1335WE - 1016

you need to open the dvd drive and look at the top of the chip

Winbond Mediatek MT1335WE - 1019 - BLSL works with 7 Ohm

i have a question, can i disconnect all leads (except soldered green, red, yellow.. wires) from pcb to do russian trick and flash drive?

Some people say they can flash via X360USB Pro, some say they don't.

What's the deal now, can somebody give me a definite answer?

I have a VIA 6421 at hand as well.

I had problems getting into vendor mode using via card, but I have to extract dummy.bin file using X360USB pro.

With recovery method I came into the drive vendor mode using via card. only in this way so I could use the Russian software.

Note:
You connect the yellow wire to the MPX01 only If you're unable to enter in vendor mode or to recover from a bad drive.

Do not forget to extract the Dummy.bin before doing this. If you have'nt, get before.

You can extract Dummy.bin before using X360USB pro.
