Hi there, the best method in my opinion is the spudnik pcb unlock switch addon that you solder to the board. It is not required but repairing the track a few times will get messy. However if by your question you mean do you need equipment than yes you will need a spudnik360 probe, or a spudnik unlock pcb switch. They may be alternative but the switchs are very cheap not worth hassle or dangour.
