SPUTNIK Probe Points

Just intro the drive and a popup will ask if you want to unlock the spi

Cut the trace - click yes - probe the point - unlocked done. Solder the trace back together - continue with the flashing as usual.

This is what a trace cut should look like when done correctly and professionally. Traces cleaned with fiberglass scratch brush, trace cut then both side fluxed and tinned.

Note: the pic isn't the spot you need to do on the DG-16D4S board - its shown as an example

My 9504 is now 0272 w/ 13146 dashboard w/ 1.9 cfw. I know when I flash back to stock and update to 13599, the drive will lock.

I want to flash to 1.91 cfw. Do I need both probe3 and SPUTNIK360 unlock switch? Thanks.

If u have MXIC then you EITHER need a Sputnik Probe OR the Sputnik switch - this tut is for points in the probe method

probe 3 is for phats, but can be used in some trouble shooting on slims afaik

of course if it's Winbond, it's good old kamikaze lol

best thing to do is find out if you have a winbond board or a mxic board first.

hook it upto jungleflasher and that would tell you.

why not flash to 1.92 cfw instead of 1.91.

if you are confident with your soldering skills then get the unlock switch, if your not too keen on soldering then the probe would be better for you. the switch is just more practical
