I have a question. I was wondering if I need to re expose the cut trace point on the pcb to unlock the drive with the sputnik360 probe. It was previously exposed(with the 10 ohm resistor method) and resoldered.

SO did you unlock it and flash LT+3.0 already? Post a pic of what you currently have.

What tools are you using? You realize this is a TX Support forum right?

Can't tell from the picture. Follow the guide and you'll be fine.

In your DVD drive, does the chip begin with 03? and not 05? Not making sure.

Just resolder it. It's not hard.

Then buy it or get someone to solder it for you. If i'm not mistaking, your DVD drive won't enev work with that cut resoldered.

In your Nand
its simple to be honest.

- Use zacto knife to scratch root (softly!)
- Then cut the using zacto knife and make sure you cut until no copper is left. Do not cut too deep and use a multimeter to check for continuity.
- follow the step on jf and hit 0x8c
- dots will start to fill the progress log and then you probe the point, from their on out its simple.
- you will need soldering iron and flux to fix your cut in order for the drive to work properly!

Just go at "The Source" if you're in canada, or RadioShack in the states and buy solder there. It's not that important. Just be carefull when soldering back. As you don't know what kind of solder to use, I can only assume that you are not experienced in soldering.

You have any electronics repair shops in your area? If so, might as well bring it to them to resolder that point. Might charge you $10 - $20, but that's what you'll pay, and even more, to buy a soldering iron, solder, and flux.

Please press the thanks if I have helped you. :cool2:
