GENERAL Start modding my Xbox

Hi everyone, I'm having my Xbox 360slim tomoz and I plan on getting it jagged, I will do this myself, buy have a few questions


1. Will i still need to flash the DVD drive to play copied discs or will the JTAG automatically let me play them once installed.

2 . If I do need to flash my disc drive what's the easiest way

1 - No
2 - You will need to get an x360usb pro & either cut a trace or drill the pcb of the dvd drive depending on the version in there.... Or find a replacement PCB / change the MTK chip to a MT1339E & external SPI.

No real need to flash the drive though as you can just transfer your back ups via usb drive or ftp.

his back ups wont play unless drive is flashed

They would if they are transferred via usb thumb drive or ftp. Or simpler yet installed from the retail disk.
