start xex menu

a jtag noob question,
I've never done a jtag, but I've had a couple of boxes, I bought 2 jtagged that had errors, the first worked but now doesn't(another story) this one had e74 but I've fixed it and it now boots ok, when I go to games-all games, it's greyed out, should xexmenu be in there?
When I start with the eject button the blue jtag screen starts so it must be jtagged!
So what am I missing

xex menu has to be installed onto a memory device, be it a hard disc or usb stick etc
you can download a live version that will boot from a cd and then allow you to install to your hard disc, search my posts to find a recent one about installing xexmenu to your hard disc
oh the blue screen is either xell or xellous booting up

cheers, I don't remember that, I had to update one from xell to xellous, I remember connecting it to my pc and getting the cpu and ? key, I'll go put my hdd on and see if it works.

edit: superb, put the hdd from my other jtag and it works, why didn't I remember that,

another question while I'm here, what should the temp be of the gpu, just had a play on nfshp, and then went to the temps and the gpu was 68, don't seem to bad going on the gpu temps of a pc.

next thing to try is load up freestyle dash and you can change the fan speeds, if that works well then try the 12v fan mod for a permanent sollution

theres no need to do the 12v fan mod when you have full control over fan speed with in FSD...

thats true xbobb but some people dont use FSD astheir front end, its a good way of checking how cool you can get the box before you open it up and solder wires
