Ok us a starter to moding i wont to know what and how and WHAT i need to start ok here i have

so i think in my search i have xenon i think so first i have the RrOD i will fix that anyway what i need for tools i have found some of this i guess

There is nothing u can do with that xenon. So just chuck it in the skip.

Xenons are junk.

That being said, if the console isn't JTAGable, the only real mod you can do is to the dvd drive.

But like i said, its still a 360.

I still reball xenons and care for them lol, I've had a xenon since day one and reballed it in 09 and she still runs strong. They will be good to you if you are good to them

It already has RROD and its a xenon. So fair enough do what u can with it, but in my opinion don't be spending any major money on it. Invest in a jasper. The xenon will be good for solder practice.

Ok i have it now i have a little problem because of the 3 rrod the problem is fan not working so i guess i need to buy new one anyway how i can see without turning it on ?

If you are planning to fix the RROD issue, then you first need to get the secondary error code to see what's wrong with it. Knowing that it's a Xenon, I'm betting your GPU is toast.... a reflow or a reball may bring it back to life. If you are trying to find your dashboard version you won't know until you get the console to boot first. I would suggest either replacing the console with a newer, more reliable one.... or if you really want to keep this console to ship it out for a professional to take a look at it.

He could always dump the nand and be able to tell what dashboard it is on. J-runner will tell you that and if you have a jtag compatible CB without the cpu_key, so as long as the problem isnt southbridge related, he can see if it is even worth the time, as the only use I have for a xenon is a jtag. Though honestly, I prefer a jasper if I am going to do any mod on a phat console. Much less hardware failure.

Ok i have awesome news i fixed some of it everything works fan and dvd everything just when i power up 4 rrod and after 2 sec gose to 2 rrod do i need termal past for that to put it on cpu and gpu

Ok i fixed my xbox so the problem was the place of GPU the silver big thing on top of it it was too tight so i lose a little and it works :/ awesome fix is it
